Mayors and Vice-Mayors to Judge; RSVP Now

Try out Chamber President Connie Rodger's no bake recipe.

Don't forget to RSVP for the first-ever Patch Holiday Bake-Off. RSVPs must be in today and then bring your best baked goods to Upper Alexander Hall at the Seminary at noon this Thursday, Dec. 2 -- co-sponsored by the San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce.

Along with honorary guest judges San Anselmo Mayor Barbara Thornton and San Anselmo Police Chief Charles Maynard, Fairfax Vice Mayor Larry Bragman will join in the judging panel that will pick a Patch Holiday Bake-Off winner!

In honor of the bake-off, test out Chamber President Connie Rodgers no bake recipe for chocolate peanut butter cookies.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

2 ½ Cups peanut butter

16 oz. Powdered sugar

1 1/3 Cups Graham cracker crumbs

¾ Cup soft butter

Beat ingredients together. Roll into small ballsno bigger than ¾ inch, and set on cookie sheet.  Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to one hour.

16 oz. Chocolate melts, candy or chips

Once the peanut butter balls are thoroughly chilled, melt chocolate in double boiler or in microwave oven. Never thin with water, use only vegetable oil. Drop peanut butter ball into melted chocolate to coat. I use two forks to drop, swirl to coat and quickly lift and return chocolate coated ball to cookie tray.

Let the chocolate coating set and they are ready to eat. YUMMY!!
