Occupation: I tune race car engines.

How did you get into that? I'm an engineer. I used to work in wind energy. And the link to race cars is aerodynamics and data analysis. From there, I moved into engines. 

Where do you work? The shop is in Berkeley, where we build and test engines. But for the last ten years, I have traveled a lot to races all over the country.

Do you like the races? I really have enjoyed being in it, but motor sports have been affected by the economy. It worked out, though, because my dog, who's my number one, ruptured a disc a year and half ago. So, it worked out kind of good that I didn't have to travel because of the economy and I got to be part of her recovery.

What's your dog's name? Zoey

Is that why you're at the park today? A friend is dropping off a car at the auto shop and we like the park, too.

What is your recommendation for the best auto shop in town? S&N. I've been going there for 18 years, since I moved to Fairfax. They're punctual; they work with you; they're just fabulous; you never have to question what they say.

What's your favorite restaurant in town? Fradelizio's

What are tips you have for visitors? The Scoop, and taking a hike in the forest has to be up there on the list. And music, music, music in downtown!
