U-Top-It and Dean Karnazes to be on Regis and Kelly

New yogurt shop celebrated with ribbon cutting, filmed for upcoming TV segment.

The new self-service yogurt shop, U-Top-It: Marin Yogurt Company, which  on San Anselmo Avenue, will be featured on a segment on Regis and Kelly this coming Friday, Feb. 25.

The segment is focused on U-Top-It co-owner Dean Karnazes's Run Across America, which starts at Disneyland in southern California this Friday. Karnazes, a Ross resident, is teaming up with Regis and Kelly to promote the Run Across America from Disneyland to New York City, where he'll finish at the studio. The run is expected to take about 75 days, with Karnazes running 40-50 miles a day, and aims to raise money for Action for Healthy Kids. Locals along the way are also invited to join Karnazes for a portion of the day's run.

Karnazes (who was also on Regis and Kelly yesterday to promote the run) is best known as The Ultramarathon Man for his book of the same title and was named one of the 100 Most Influential People by TIME for his awareness-raising runs, including a marathon to the South Pole, winning the 135-mile Death Valley to Mt. Whitney Badwater race, and completing fifty marathons in fifty days in fifty states.

Crews from Regis and Kelly were on hand to tape the ribbon cutting to use in a segment that will kick off the Run Across America.

The new U-Top-It: Marin Yogurt Company has been a hit for the last two weeks, regularly packed with crowds. Maybe some of our own will be featured on national TV chowing down! (And, look for our review of the yogurt shop Friday as well to coincide with the TV segment.)
