Last weekend started out with a storm that knocked a tree into power lines on Forest Avenue in Fairfax. But, the havoc didn't stop there. Storms throughout the week knocked over dozens of trees, including one that fell on a parked car in San Anselmo, sent large mudslides spilling towards people's home, eroded the road on Redwood Road, and caused 9,000 gallons of sewage to spill into the road on the north end of San Anselmo Avenue. The week kicked off with the release of a 369-page report from the Ross Valley Sanitary District about the 2.6 million gallon sewage spills back in December. The report, prepared for the Regional Water Quality Board, is the district's explanation for what lead to the spills. The topic of the week, though, was the consideration of new elementary school boundaries. Tam last weekend, the predicted snow as low as 1,000 feet Friday failed to materialize besides a dusting in Fairfax and around the lakes.
