The Quality of Life Commission will kick off a free weekly film series at 5 p.m. tonight at San Anselmo Town Hall.
The screening, in the Town Council chambers, will consist of a loop of shorts that highlight gardening and healthy food.
Tonight’s offering will coincide with a 5 to 8 p.m. weekly Picnic on the Plaza outside. An organic farm stand run by Jim Baum will be operating as well.
The weekly picnics feature live music and activities for kids.
Sita Khufu and Lea Dutton, who comprise a commission subcommittee, are in charge of the film series.
“Tonight we’ll show short, fun, kid-friendly videos from YouTube that are full of informative tips,” said Khufu, who heads the subcommittee.
The films on the loop, which range from one to five minutes in length, include “Gardening with Kids,” “Plant a Tree,” “How to Make Seed Balls,” and “What’s Wrong with Our Food System.”
