Woody Weingarten, San Anselmo resident for 27 years, has once again been named chair of two Marin organizations.
At the most recent monthly meeting of the Quality of Life Commission, a nine-member panel, he was reelected unanimously.
Simultaneously, Quinne Fokes was renamed vice chair and Kevin Donahue secretary.
Weingarten has served on that governmental San Anselmo commission, whose charge is to promote sustainability and other green efforts, since 2005; he has been chair since 2007.
Meanwhile, a weekly support group for men whose partners have or had breast cancer also reelected him chair, also unanimously.
Weingarten has led Marin Man to Man, first as a “point man” and subsequently as chair, for 18 years.
The drop-in group, which meets weekly in Corte Madera, selected Marv Edelstein of San Rafael to fill a newly created joint position, vice chair-treasurer.
