Asst Manager Position available at RoCo Dance in Fairfax

Assistant Manager Position

Qualifications
This is a mid-level assistant manager position great for a professional seeking regular work in Fairfax.  Ideal for a local resident of West Marin (Fairfax, San Anselmo, San Geronimo).  Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years professional experience including administrative and customer service work.  Previous management experience a plus but not required.  An interest in dance is important but no previous dance experience required.  We are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term commitment and has the following qualities:
responsible
friendly
solid sense of running a business/use good judgement
tech savvy (we run our business though a custom database)
clean & organized
able to multi-task effectively with ease
detail-oriented
planning on staying in the area and desiring a steady long-term position

Primary Responsibilities
managing Fairfax studio receptionists schedules, training and shift duties
modeling customer service at front desk, on phones and on email
learning the RoCo Youth program curriculum in order to sell it and register students into the appropriate classes.
ensuring that all Fairfax classes are checked in/updated properly in the database
navigating all systems (database, website, studio schedules, calendars) to perform managerial tasks and answer customer questions
accountable for all cash, credit card and check transactions
running inventory for apparel and boutique items
responsible for studio maintenance to ensure it is presentable, clean and well-stocked at all times
parent & student correspondence regarding curriculum, announcements, class/performance schedules, etc
knowledge of and enforcement of RoCo youth and adult program policies
report directly to the General Manager and assist with projects and duties as needed
producing the Fairfax Studio Preview Shows and assisting with the company Onstage productions in January and June

Expectations
professional, respectful and direct communication with staff members and clientele
keeping safety the first priority especially for the youth program
using good judgement to make daily managerial decisions
delivering solid follow-through on all request projects, tasks and issues
constantly looking for how to improve the studio/business and taking preventative measures
asking the right questions up front in order to get the job done
being part of the RoCo community, getting to know the regular students in the Fairfax studio
a 2 year commitment to the company

Shifts & Hours

Schedule is Monday through Friday in the afternoons between 2-7pm, plus some weekday mornings. 

The position will begin as soon as we find the right candidate.

RoCo is closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas day, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Easter Sunday.

Compensation

Based on experience plus discounts on RoCo dance classes with room for growth.
