Marin General Hospital Appoints New Chief Human Resources Officer

GREENBRAE, CA, August 29, 2013—Marin General Hospital (MGH) has appointed Linda Lang as Chief Human Resources Officer, replacing Theresa Gianfortune, who retired.

Ms. Lang joins MGH from Kaiser Permanente, where she was Regional Director, Employee & LaborRelations,Northern California, overseeing the organization’s labor relations and bargaining strategy for a workforce of approximately 65,000. She joined Kaiser in 2010 from Millennium Hotels and Resorts, where she was Vice President, Human Resources for the hospitality firm’s North American Region. Prior to that, she was a Regional Director at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Worldwide, serving as the human resources leader for the Northwest and western Canada.

After receiving her B.A from San Francisco State University in 1990, Ms Lang completed post graduate work at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. She earned her J.D. at the University of San Francisco in 1999. She is a licensed by the State Bar of California and spent several years in practice with a major firm as a labor and employment attorney.
