Job Description
San Anselmo Recreation Department is accepting applications for an After School Childcare Aide for our Robson After Care program (which serves Kindergarten through 5th graders).

The program is held at the Robson Harrington House (237 Crescent Drive) in San Anselmo.  Robson After Care focuses on games, art projects, homework, enjoying the outdoors, and much more.  If you like working with kids and being outdoors, then this is the job for you! 

Position Begins: August 19th, 2013

Job Duties

  1. Organize and implement activities for the After School Program.
  2. Provide a safe environment for youth ages 6-11.
  3. Inform all participants of all rules pertaining to the Robson House and the outside area.
  4. Participate in preparations of daily set up for the After School Program.
  5. Assist with set up and clean up of all activities.
  6. Pick up participants from school and walk participants back to Robson House.
  7. Take daily attendance.
  8. Make sure that all emergency forms and behavior contracts are signed, completed and turned in.
  9. Check inventory and notify Recreation Coordinator of any needed supplies.

Qualifications

 

  1. Experience in leading children’s programs
  2. Highly positive and enthusiastic style capable of motivating others
  3. Good conflict management abilities
  4. Current First Aid and CPR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a day camp, recreation, or school-age care setting.
  • Outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Organized and highly responsible.
  • Experience working as a member of a team.

Requirements

  1. Available to work for the entire school year (September 19th 2013 – June 11th 2014) and possibly the summer of 2014, Monday through Friday from 2:30-6:30pm.

Hours

  • Monday - Friday,
  • 2:30-6:30pm

Pay

  • $10.08-$14.80 (DOE)
