Hal Brown Park at Creekside Celebration

Marin County Parks will celebrate the renovation and reopening of Hal Brown Park at Creekside in Kentfield on Saturday, June 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will include interpretive walks hosted by the Friends of Corte Madera Creek, fun activities for kids, petanque demonstrations, and healthy snacks.

Hal Brown Park at Creekside now features a large modern playground with a climbing wall, a 17-foot climbing net, sand and water play areas, a turbo slide, swings, spinning bowls and life-sized interactive models of local endangered species nests. A new scenic overlook offers some of the most stunning views of Mount Tamalpais in all of Marin! Because the park is within walking distance of five schools, the amphitheater was enlarged to host outdoor theatrical productions and outdoor education activities. New picnic areas and benches are spread throughout the park; there is a site for petanque, and a quiet, secluded health and meditation area that is landscaped with plants that possess medicinal attributes. All features within the park are now accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities.
