One Bank Helping Another — Money Kind & Food Kind

Bank of Marin employees spent part of a day doing manual labor at Marin Food Bank and donated $10,000 to the cause during the course of the year.

More than a dozen volunteers from Bank of Marin helped out at the Marin Food Bank in Novato recently, packing food that that will make the holiday season a joyous occasion for more than 2,400 local families.

The group packed more than 41 cases of rice and re-packed 2,000 pounds of bread to be served at St. Vincent’s and local senior center brown bag programs.

The Marin Food Bank, based in Bel Marin Keys, supports more than 50,000 families. Combined with its sister organization, San Francisco Food Bank, the two entities serve more than 200,000 families across San Francisco and Marin.

In addition to volunteer support, Bank of Marin contributed $10,000 in 2012 in honor of the Food Bank’s 25th anniversary.

Is anybody else here getting multiple e-mail notifications of new comments by Jo Tog, and thenRead More clicking the link, only to find that they are actually old comments from Jo Tog, but with today's date on them? What's the deal? Did all his comments get flagged and deleted, and now he's re-posting them? Most curious.

Jo Trog, we live in a Corporatocracy, not a republic. We abdicated the Republic after 9/11, if notRead More before. Know the difference.

Banning the sale in a free market economy is too strong. I believe people should be able to chooseRead More so long as the product is labeled correctly, and even placed in a section with a big sign that says "GM Food products". Would I buy it if I pass the section at the grocery store: NO.
