Monday, Nov. 18  

Immigration reform advocates gathered at San Rafael City Plaza on Sunday afternoon for an event that was as much a festival as it was an actual demonstration.

                               
Tuesday, Nov. 19

Prosecutors filed charges against a San Rafael man accused of robbing a Terra Linda bank on Nov. 15. Alphonso Miquel Pazos, 56, was charged with robbery and burglary.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

Starting next year, parking meters on the city’s busiest streets will take plastic. The City Council on Monday in a 4-1 vote approved a resolution authorizing new meters that accept credit cards at a cost of $750,000.

Thursday, Nov. 21

A serial bank robber on a nearly yearlong spree struck again. The “Cotton Ball Bandit” hit a Novato Chase Bank at 1595 Grant Avenue shortly after the bank opened at 9 a.m. He's robbed 10 Marin County banks in the last year.

 
Friday, Nov. 22

Convicted serial killer Joseph Naso was sentenced to death Friday by a Marin County Superior Court judge.  Naso, 79, of Reno, Nev., was convicted by a jury on Aug. 20 of strangling four women between 1977 and 1994.
