Annie

YES Theater is the Ross Valley School District's oldest program and provides 3rd-5th graders at each elementary school and 6th-8th graders at the middle school opportunities to participate in a theater production staffed by professional Bay Area directors, choreographers, musicians and technicians. In addition to performance opportunities, the YES Theater KidTech program provides a unique opportunity for students to staff and run all the technical components of a full-scale production.

This March Yes Theater and Brookside Upper Campus' 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are proud to present their own production of the musical Annie, directed by Blanca Florido. "Annie" is a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan and her no-good brother, Rooster Cogburn. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and finds a new family and home in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Leapin' lizards!
