Fairfax Brewfest

        17th ANNUAL FAIRFAX BREWFEST

Saturday March 17 kicks off the 2012 beer festival season with the 17th Annual Fairfax Brewfest, presented by Iron Springs Pub and Brewery and the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce.  Since this is one of the first big beer events of the season at least 20 breweries will come to Fairfax to present their most popular beers and test their newest concoctions. The brewmasters themselves pour the beer so patrons can critique, ask questions, and swap beer stories with the experts. And we’ll continue with our popular  “TASTE ‘EM AND RATE ‘EM” competition where patrons taste and vote on their favorite beers in several categories (medals will be awarded).

This year’s Brewfest will be on St. Patrick’s Day so the partying will have definite Irish feel, including toe tapping Celtic music by the Gas Men.  Be sure to wear a little green and with a little luck of the Irish we’ll have great weather so folks can enjoy the outdoor patio. Great pub food featuring corned beef sandwiches, garlic fries, and grilled sausages will be available as well. Mark your calendar and get ready for  Fairfax’s  “rite of spring” event.
