Sustainable Film Fest: A Lot in Common

Permaculture Marin and Sustainable Fairfax are proud to present the 2nd Annual Sustainable Film Fest! You are invited to join these organizations for four incredible evenings over the course of the summer to learn from inspiring films and local experts about the skills needed to live sustainably.

August 19th focusses on the topic of community gardens with the film "A Lot in Common" and with speaker, Julie Hanft, from Marin Open Garden Project. Learn about how a group of neighbors take over an abandoned lot in Berkeley, California, and transform it over a five-year period into a disarmingly beautiful community garden and commons area, a vibrant space alive with kids, neighborhood events, lush planting beds, eco-friendly demonstration projects and stunning public art. Don't miss this educational and entertaining evening!
