The Wiz

YES Theater is the Ross Valley School District's oldest program and provides 3rd-5th graders at each elementary school and 6th-8th graders at the middle school opportunities to participate in a theater production staffed by professional Bay Area directors, choreographers, musicians and technicians. In addition to performance opportunities, the YES Theater KidTech program provides a unique opportunity for students to staff and run all the technical components of a full-scale production.

This March, Yes Theater and Manor School's 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are proud to present their own musical production of The Wiz, directed by Ryan O'Donnell. Dorothy's adventures in the Land of Oz have been set to music in a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, gospel and soul music. Everybody knows the story, but now it's a new fantasy for today-- mysterious, opulent and fanciful.  Join Dorothy, The Tin Man, The Cowardly Lion and The Scarecrow as they battle the Wicked Witch of the North and make their way along the yellow brick road through the wonderful world of Oz.
