Treasure Island

YES Theater is the Ross Valley School District's oldest program and provides 3rd-5th graders at each elementary school and 6th-8th graders at the middle school opportunities to participate in a theater production staffed by professional Bay Area directors, choreographers, musicians and technicians. In addition to performance opportunities, the YES Theater KidTech program provides a unique opportunity for students to staff and run all the technical components of a full-scale production.

This December Yes Theater and White Hill School's 7th and 8th graders are proud to present their own production of Treasure Island, directed by Jasper Thelin. This is high adventure on the high seas. Robert Louis Stevenson's classic gripping yarn is given full dramatic and comedic treatment by Phil Willmott, in a thrilling, wonderfully unusual version which retains all the swashbuckling vigor of the original with added excitement and lots of yo ho ho.  Adapted to include many females in the cast both as pirates and as Ladies. Get ready to walk the plank!
