YES Fest this Sunday

10TH ANNUAL YES FEST IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 22nd, 2012

The tenth anniversary YES Fest, a free celebration of the great art, music, theater, poetry, assemblies and other programs provided by the YES Foundation in the Ross Valley School District, will be held on Sunday, April 22 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at White Hill Middle School, 101 Glen Drive in Fairfax.

 YES Fest is free celebration for adults, kids, and families, showcasing the art, music, theater, poetry, assemblies, student clubs, and athletics provided by the YES Foundation to kindergarten through eighth grade students at Brookside, Manor, Wade Thomas, and White Hill schools.

 YES Fest highlights include: a beautiful gallery of student art, student poetry readings, participatory music and movement workshops, highlights from the YES Theater Festival, local rock bands, African drumming, and Talent on the Green, a student-inspired variety show. The festival will also feature guest artists and businesses from the Marin community who will offer free hands-on activities and musical performances for all ages. Local restaurants will offer food and refreshments for purchase.

 YES Fest is sponsored by the YES Foundation, a non-profit volunteer organization that funds art, music, theater, poetry, assemblies, library books and more to every child in the Ross Valley School District. For more information, contact Amy Stock at 415-721-1555or yesfest@yestokids.org
