George Lucas and Wife Welcome New Baby
The Star Wars creator and his new wife, Mellody Hobson, just had a daughter, Everest Hobson Lucas, born via surrogate.
George Lucas and his new wife, Mellody Hobson, have a new daughter.
The baby, the couple’s first biological child, was reportedly born via surrogate on Friday, according to the Huffington Post.
Lucas, who lives in San Anselmo, has three adopted children — Amanda, Katie and Jett — from his first marriage. He was married to film editor Marcia Lucas from 1969 to 1983.

Lucas married Mellody Hobson in June in Marin and had a second star-studded wedding reception in Chicago.
The couple stood side by side when Lucas recently unveiled statues in a San Anselmo park he donated to the community. At the ceremony, Lucas told the large crowd Star Wars and Indiana Jones were both created in San Anselmo.
