Another Victim of the Economy, Many Stores Moving

And French Nest celebrates a re-opening.

Suddenly This Summer

Walking past the spot where used to be on San Anselmo Avenue next to I saw that the store front was covered in paper and a permit in the window for spa rooms, laundry and restrooms. So, I poked my head into the other day to see if they were the ones who were possibly relocating and it’s true.

However the owner was out of the country so I couldn’t ask her directly, but the counter gal said that they wouldn’t be moving until at least this summer.

Sad to See It Go

Another shop in town is closing its doors unable to keep things going with the still-slow-to-rise economy. San Anselmo will be losing Aurora Antiques on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard on “Antique Row.” I stopped in to inquire and felt like I was back east at my grandparents' (who were antique dealers themselves) home. The store is slowly emptying out of its lovely  European furniture, pictures and china, but many bargains can be had while the owner looks to sell off his final pieces.

Ribbon Cutting

State Farm Insurance agent, Kris Kelson, who’s new office location is now at 50 Greenfield (across the parking lot from Bomarc) will be celebrating with a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony this Thursday, April 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. She moved her offices from the US Bank location back in February and we hope her new location brings her lots more business.

Grand Re-Opening

The has re-opened its doors and the place looks great. The now sole owner, Holly, was welcoming old and new customers on the official tax day of April 15 through her half door. I was interested in all of the lovely items. while my daughter only had eyes for the candy coated chocolates that remained from the private party the night before.
