The beautiful moon was not meant to rise where Debbie Does Dessert used to be in downtown San Anselmo. And even though the new awning bares the name, Bella Luna, the big ‘For Lease’ sign on the front door says it all.
Flying Butterflies
Speaking of ‘For Lease’ signs, there is a big one above , but have no fear, I just got off of the phone with the owner and they don’t plan on leaving anytime soon if they can help it. And considering all of the truly beautiful things inside I for one and very glad.
Running Across Town
is packing up and heading across town, well, across the street is more like it, into the space where is currently, but clearly not for long. That will be such a great new space for owners Charles and Alaina, we wish them the best of luck with the move.

Life is filling into the old space of on Ross Avenue, just up from, with Desta Epicures Guild and hand-selected imported coffees and teas will be available soon!
It Takes a Village
The wonderful restaurant has closed its doors permanently as of last week. According to the owners, a full blown remodel required by the new landlords at the owner’s expense was just too much for the lovely mom and pop owners and they had to pack it in. Here’s to hoping they find a new perfect spot soon, so once again really good food can be had by one and all.
