Closing, Moved, Swirling and Tuning Up

Swirl may open this summer and get your bike tuned for the fair weather.

Packed Up and Moved, But Not Far

at 312 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. closed up shop at the end of May -- a very sad thing after 26 years in business. If you ever wandered the lovely store, you’ll remember beautiful antique country pine dressers, hutches, chests, solid wood tables, copper pots, quilts and more. We are lucky enough to have a few pieces and they are cherished items in our household.

Marilyn and Nancy, the owners, however have not closed up for good though and that is a very good thing. They’ve only joined forces with Chelsea Antiques in Petaluma (which can be found in the Petaluma Patch directory!). Chelsea Antiques is a collaboration of various dealers that specialize in French, English, Industrial, Swedish and Early American. The best part is it is just a few doors down from LaLa’s Creamery, a fabulous old-fashioned feeling ice cream parlor.

Swirling Soon

Speaking of ice cream, I just got off of the phone with the folks at Swirl, a frozen yogurt shop in Mill Valley opening a branch in the Red Hill Shopping Center in San Anselmo, and according to the gal I chatted with, they were “supposed to open up early this month, but now it will be open at the end of the month.” I am not sure what superheroes they have on the construction crew, but I’ll hire them in a heartbeat if it actually happens in the next ten days.

Realistically, it will more likely be in July or August, but we wish them the best of luck and know that the spot at the end of the mall across from will be a success no matter when it opens.

Get Tuned Up
