Dunkin' Donuts is heading to the Bay Area.

The company announced Monday its plans to open 80 Dunkin' Donuts stores in Northern California over the next five-to-six years, according to NBC Bay Area.

The East Coast fan favorite opened its first Southern California stores last year.

The one-stop-shop for coffee and baked treats says it wants to open more than 1,000 franchises in California in the future.

The company hasn't yet announced where the Bay Area stores might be located.

Not really. We are so used to eating such unhealthy foods, and as a result so many people are extremely unhealthy. Both physically and mentally. The foods we eat affect our moods as much as our bodies. Once my eyes were opened to that fact and I stopped eating junk, I was amazed at how much better I felt! It's scary.

I am not against a Dunkin Donuts at the Vintage Mall in Novato. Its coffee is good and the donuts are delicious. I was a snob when I moved back east several years ago but I came to enjoy a coffee from Dunkin Donuts after living there for 10 years, however I am back to Peets since moving back here.
