Dunkin' Donuts to Open Bay Area Stores

The East Coast chain just opened its first Southern California stores last year.

Dunkin' Donuts is heading to the Bay Area.

The company announced Monday its plans to open 80 Dunkin' Donuts stores in Northern California over the next five-to-six years, according to NBC Bay Area.

The East Coast fan favorite opened its first Southern California stores last year.

The one-stop-shop for coffee and baked treats says it wants to open more than 1,000 franchises in California in the future.

The company hasn't yet announced where the Bay Area stores might be located.
