What: Our special guest speaker is Cicely Muldoon, Superintendent of the Point Reyes National Seashore, who has a remarkable career working in National Parks.
2011 Resource Conservation Award: Sierra Club is delighted to honor Karen Nygren for her legendary commitment, integrity and tenacity in her advocacy on behalf of the environment.
2011 Hannah Creighton Environmental Justice Award: It is with deep appreciation and recognition that the Sierra Club gives this award to the late Marin County Supervisor Charles McGlashan, for his years of passionate and effective leadership in the service of the environmental health of the community.
(Hannah Creighton, the former Marin Group Executive Committee member for whom the award is named, passed away in 1998. She was an editor of the periodical Race, Poverty and the Environment for the Urban Habitat Program. She was always concerned about environmental education and opportunities for those in need.)
Master of Ceremony: Radio personality and political commentator, Peter B. Collins will guide us through our evening.
