Good Earth to Open Feb. 15

And, don't forget to keep it local for Valentine's Day.

Great News for Good Earth

The doors of the new Grocery will be officially opened at 11 a.m. on Feb. 15, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Patch will have a sneak preview video up next Monday, and if the peek through the front doors I got this morning is any indication it is going to be an amazing place. What an incredible addition to Fairfax and perfect that it is as close as it could possibly be to San Anselmo. Let the organic begin!

New Baker

I was thrilled to learn that a fellow colleague in food will be one of the new bakers at in San Anselmo. Laura, they are lucky to have you and we wish you the best in your new venture.

Friends are Talking

More than once this weekend I heard about the absolutely, fantastic sale that Rock Flower Paper is having -- 50% off just about everything. But things are going fast, so grab what you see because it won’t be there the next day. Trays, tea towels, candles, vases, napkins, tableware and so much more all in fabulous colors and styles, you really can’t go wrong.

Grab your Gala

Speaking of grabbing things before they’re all gone, tickets to this year’s this Saturday, Feb. 11 are almost all gone. A few more dessert tickets were released, but they are flying off the shelf and only five remained as of this morning and just 12 dinner tickets are on the table. Trust me, they won’t last, and believe me when I write that this is going to be the party of the year that you won’t want to miss.

Heads Up Lovers of Love

Just a reminder that Valentine’s Day is just over a week away. Keep it local with flowers from Linda’s Flower Box, or grab an antique teddy bear from .

has been in business for over 20 years and is a fail-safe place to find just the right thing. (And, I can be found behind the counter.)

Or consider getting sweets at Sweetlife or heart-shaped cookies from or special candies and treats from . Ooh, how about a bikini from the new swimsuit shop in San Anselmo and a trip to Hawaii? OK, that’s not completely local, sorry.

How about taking your special someone to dinner at the or the and then out to a movie? , and always have great and goofy gifts to make your special someone smile. Don’t wait for the last minute, take a stroll down our fabulous streets and you’re sure to find just the right gift to show your affection.

I went to the Smashburger in Novato & have to say that it was a disappointing experience. TheRead More burger was very mediocore & the onion rings were awful-very greasy. The staff were not friendly & operated with a "Bambi in the headlights" look about them. I do wish Smasburger luck in their locations. However, from my perspective there is a good deal of work that still needs to be done with the food, staff & service. At this time, "In & Out" Burger is a "hand's down favorite...thanks

Sheryl, I would put up our food and our service against any In & Out, anytime, any place. I'llRead More put my burger where my mouth is (literally) and offer you some free vouchers to be at our opening in Mill Valley. Send me an email (jasonwkent@gmail.com) with your mailing address and I'll get those vouchers to you ASAP.
