Pilates is Still Open, More Yogurt Coming

Check out the new Marin Spin Co to burn off all those calories.

My Mistake: Pilates Still Open

I know I am not the only one who thought that went out of business when the front shop area emptied out, but alas, they are open for business. Just go to the side of the building, you’ll see it as you drive toward San Rafael off of the Miracle Mile at the beginning of Greenfield Avenue. Not only are there group sessions that work on the reformer, tower, chair, and mat classes, but private lessons too, along with body work, massage, Reiki and physical therapy.

If only to be able to dine off of the new L'Appart kids menu. Panorama Brioche Grilled Cheese, Mini Kobe Beef Burger, or Mary’s Roasted Chicken -- my mouth is already watering. It opened last Thursday for lunch and dinner. Hooray! I’m even willing to admit my age and eat off the adult menu for the Red and Gold Beet Salad and the Muscovy Duck Confit.

Bikes You Can’t Buy

Well, you could buy these bikes, but why when they won’t go anywhere and you’d have to find all the motivation on your own for a great workout. Instead, head over to the new Marin Spin Co. I wrote about it last week, because they are having an introductory phenomenal deal for unlimited spin classes for two full months for only $180. The owner, Andy Kristen, will ensure that you are properly fitted on the CycleOps Pro 300 Spin Bikes, which are the only ones of their kind found in Marin and the best part is the first class is free for you can try it out and see if this powerful workout is right for you.

Rockin’ Ribbon Cutting

My husband and daughter turned the car around after seeing the line out the door at U-Top-It on the night of their official Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting ceremony last Thursday evening. Even torrential rains and winds and threatening floods couldn’t keep the customers away for the sweet, sweet treats inside. My favorite is the brownie bite topping with Red Velvet yogurt. Yum.

May Can’t Come Soon Enough

Another yogurt shop will be opening in May called Swirl. You may have heard of them; they have a shop in Mill Valley and are opening a little shop in the Red Hill Shopping Center all the way at the end next to the baseball fields at Millenium Park.

It’ll Be Interesting

has been on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard for as long as I can remember and the 99 cent Waffle Cone Wednesdays are a huge draw for our family’s budget, but the getting to and from is never fun or easy. I wonder how they will fare after yogurt shops on both sides of town open up that will be in walking distance and on quiet corners.
