Readers' Choice: What's the Best Bike Shop in Marin?

Marin cyclists, unite! Cast your vote for the best bike shop in Marin.

Marin — the birthplace of mountain biking — is a cycling hub for hundreds, if not thousands.

We’ll skip the debate of road vs. mountain biking and jump to a subject that applies to all: bike shops. Where do you go when you need a new bike or cycling maintenance?

In our latest edition of Readers' Choice, we've given you the keys, letting you primarily formulate the list of nominees and then select the winner. We solicited nominations from June 18 to July 9.

Voting began on July 23 and continues until Aug. 17. Some Readers' Choice categories span across all of Marin and others dig deep into individual towns and cities. Visit our topic page for all the Readers' Choice information.

Here’s who readers said should be in the running for best bike shop in Marin:

And if you own or manage one of the businesses in our contest, be sure to "Claim" your listing; this allows you to customize the information that appears on our site, and to thank your loyal customers for the five-star ratings they give you.

Fairfax Cylery is a horrible shop. Nothing but bad attitude and bad business practices. Boycott Fairfax Cyclery.

I don't know what you experienced, but I've been doing business with them since 2008 and they've been fantastic without exception.

I agree...I like the Fairfax Cyclery best as well.

BornandraisedinMarin Wow!! We try very hard to make our customers happy. If you had that bad of an experience, I think you should have come and talk to us. We are very reasonable people and want to make sure you are having FUN on your bike. Sorry you feel this way.

Fairfax Cyclery. I have never been to your shop, I live in Novato. However know that 99 out of 100 people that read the post you responded to completely ignore it or know that the person is a complete donut. Next time I am at Iron Springs I will make it a point to swing in.
