Smaller Spaces for Fairfax Small Businesses -- Except the Movie Theater

Sustainable Fairfax gets smaller and so does the Circle Center.

Fairfax 5 Soon to be 6

Construction is underway at the , located at 9 Broadway in Fairfax, and soon a sixth new theater will be up and running for more movie viewing. The new space will dig into the parking lot a little bit, but, with more movies to see locally, it is certainly worth the change. See you at the movies!

, located at 810 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., is back up and running and sure to be better than ever. After being under construction for the past few months, it will be great to see and meet the new owners and taste the new food. I haven’t personally had a chance to try out the new space, but certainly looking forward to it and I hope our readers are too. Best of luck Lanna Thai, we welcome you back with open arms.

Life for the wonderful has changed a little bit and is now currently leasing the upstairs part of its current location at 141 Bolinas Rd. The building itself is actually for sale as Retail Space. (Hopefully, the new owners will be as accommodating to our wonderful nonprofit.) The economy for nonprofits remains a tough one, but with the change comes a new oven that the crew is certainly looking forward to putting to great use for meetings and projects geared toward making our world a better place. And the best part is that the fabulous back yard remains under their care and will still be available for events and rentals. Here’s to sustaining Sustainable Fairfax!

Smaller Circles

, “a physical community hub that provides a foundation for people to meet, develop their gifts, talents and interests, and then over time form groups, and incubate projects which provide benefits to local and global community,” has also had to consolidate its space in these trying times. Looks like the front office meeting space that once lived at 17 Bolinas Rd. is no longer available, but along Mono Avenue around the corner from the on Bolinas Avenue space is still available for various gatherings and meetings.

Great Opportunity

in San Anselmo (611 San Anselmo Ave.) is looking for a highly energetic and enthusiastic person to join their team of sales assistants.
