Receptionist Position

Qualifications:
This is an entry-level receptionist position great for a student who is seeking professional experience or for someone based in Marin County seeking a regular supplemental income.  Previous receptionist and customer service experience is a plus but not required.  An interest in dance is important but no previous dance experience required.

We are looking for someone who is:
-responsible (shows up on time, reliable, and can carry out assigned tasks with little supervision)
-friendly (enjoys interacting with many different people)
business savvy (comfortable with numbers, basic transactions, and business value)
-tech savvy (comfortable with fairly complex database navigation)
-clean & organized (committed to keeping the studio clean and presentable at all times)
-at ease in busy times and juggling multiple tasks  (someone who does not get flustered when there are multiple things going on all at once, because we get busy!)

Ideal opportunity for someone who is local (Fairfax, San Anselmo, West Marin, Ross, San Rafael)

Primary Responsibilities:
-customer service at front desk, on phones and on email
-registering and checking students into classes in our database
-navigating our systems (database, website, studio schedules, calendars) to perform basic tasks and answer customer questions
-handling cash, credit card and check transactions
-selling snacks, apparel and boutique items
-studio maintenance including supply restocking, cleaning, organizing and various facility projects
-child supervision for youth classes
-parent & student correspondence including RoCo policies, curriculum and class/performance schedules, etc
-report directly to the Fairfax Studio Manager and assist with tasks and duties as needed
-assisting with company productions in January and June

Seasons & Shifts & Hours:
Exact shift days/times TBD. Example shift would include 1-2 weekend days, plus 1-2 weekdays; 3-5 hour shifts. Additional hours available during seasonal registration and performance dates.

Ideally, candidate would be trained and available to work a solo shift the weekends of May 2 and May 12.

Compensation:
$9-$10 per hour, based on experience plus discounts on RoCo dance classes
