Parkside Preschool

Parkside Preschool is a wonderful program that not many people know about. The preschool is run by the Town of San Anselmo and is located at the at 1000 Sir Francis Drake Blvd.

The Preschool’s leader, Dawn Broadbent-Jones, is the daughter of one of the program’s founders back in the mid-1970s. Supporting Dawn is a staff of longtime teachers including Ronda Beren and Colleen Kyne, along with several other caring and experienced staff, including Debbie Kretzschmar. The staff works tirelessly to create a great preschool program.

Parkside is proud to be a high-quality, yet affordable option for local families.

One unique aspect of Parkside Preschool is its flexibility! Parents can enroll in Parkside for as few as two days per week, and you can choose which days. The drop-in policy is also very flexible and convenient. Once you are a registered family, you can even drop-off your child for an hour or more on days that you are not already scheduled to attend.

If you have any questions about the program or want to arrange a tour, feel free to contact Dawn at Parkside Preschool at 258-4644.

Dog Owner Reminder

I’d like to remind dog owners about a San Anselmo ordinance about dogs.

Persons walking dogs in San Anselmo are required to clean up after their pets.  This means that you should be prepared to clean up after your pet on any public property, or private property that isn’t yours. You are responsible to dispose of it in a sanitary manner.

It really isn’t a hard law to comply with. When walking your dog, carry along a plastic bag for cleanup, and dispose of the bag in a trash can when you get home.

The benefits of this ordinance are great for our whole community. Parks, sidewalks, front lawns, and gutters can be waste free and all residents can walk without worry.

Everybody has to do his or her part, however, to keep San Anselmo dog waste free.  Avoid a fine and carry a plastic bag on walks with canine friends.  Together we can make San Anselmo a model of cooperation.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
