Filling the Town Council Vacancy

At the meeting of Tuesday, March 12, the Town Council introduced an ordinance that will allow the Council to appoint a new Town Councilmember for the period beginning in May 2013 and ending November 2013, to temporarily fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Lori Lopin.

That seat (with a term set to expire in November 2015) would then be included on the regular election ballot in November 2013, along with the four year terms of Mayor Coleman, Vice Mayor Kroot and Councilmember McInerney.
