The Recreation Department has an exciting variety of summer camps available for kids with flexible scheduling to meet individual needs. There are morning, afternoon and all-day camps, as well as extended care for those who need it. There are themes to satisfy almost any camper, including sewing, skateboarding, baseball, tennis, animal art, British sports, golf, math, music, science, gymnastics, soccer and more.

Special Summer Events in San Anselmo
There will be a number of special summer events happening in San Anselmo this summer, as follows:
Film Night in the Park – The public is invited to come out for evenings of film under the stars at Creek Park. Films are shown on selected Friday and Saturday nights from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Visit www.filmnight.org for movie listings and additional information.
San Anselmo Art & Wine Festival – Saturday and Sunday, June 23 -24, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Featuring 200+ artists, outstanding food and drinks and great music. The Chamber of Commerce is proud to showcase San anselmo’s boutique retail businesses, shops and restaurants. Visit www.sananselmochamber.org for additional information.
San Anselmo Salutes the Beatles – Saturday, July 14th, 2012, Creek Park 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
Live Music Sing-along and a Twist ‘n Shout Dance Contest for Kids. $12 Adults/$5 Kids 12 and under. Tickets available at Creek Park day of event starting at 5:00 PM. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Picnics on the Plaza – Friday nights, July 20 – August 24, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Located on the Town Hall Plaza at 525 San Anselmo Avenue, the popular picnic events feature music and family fun in downtown San Anselmo. Bring your picnic basket!
San Anselmo Country Fair Day – Sunday, September 30, 2012 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
This popular community festival showcases our Town with a pancake breakfast, children’s activities and street booths populated with San Anselmo-based schools, community groups, artisans and shopkeepers. This is a collaborative event produced each year by community volunteers and can only sustain itself if people get involved. There are MANY ways to get involved. For booth and parade applications, visit the Community tab on the Town’s website at www.townofsananselmo.org.
Hooked on Marin Speaker Series – The San Anselmo, Corte Madera and Larkspur Recreation Departments along with the College of Marin and the Tamalpais Union High School District have combined forces to provide a series of three moderator-led events featuring a panel of people who have been or are involved in local, Marin-based topics. The discussions for 2012 are based on the Organic Movement, the Mountain Bike Revolution, and Marin County Rock and Roll.
The speaker events will take place in September, October, and November of this year. A limited number of seats are available for each event and registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The gatherings will be limited to a certain number of registrants, so please sign-up early. For more information and to register, please visit to www.marinlearn.com. Volunteer Opportunity
The is recruiting for a volunteer to serve as San Anselmo’s representative.
The Commission acts as an advocacy group for the interests and needs of the County’s older population, and serves as an advisory council to the County Board of Supervisors. The 23 – member Commission is comprised by representatives from cities and unincorporated areas of the County. The Commission meets the second Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
