Flood Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the Town’s Flood Committee will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers.

  • Included on the agenda are the following reports:
  • Report on Town/Ross Valley procedures for winter storms and flooding and winter preparedness.
  • Report regarding tour of detention basins at Windsor’s Hiram Lewis Park and Napa’s Lake Park held on Friday, October 25, 2013.
  • Report on Morningside neighborhood meeting held on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
  • Report from the Public Works Director on current activities with respect to flood mitigation projects:  Bridges, Memorial Park.
  • Report on Flood Zone 9 meeting held on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
  • Report regarding Policy Advisory Committee meeting held on Friday, November 15, 2013.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Time for Thanks

The Town is thankful for all the volunteers who give their precious time to the Town, including:

  • Town Hall volunteers, including the volunteer receptionists
  • Library volunteers
  • Board, Commission and Committee members
  • Recreation coaches and assistant coaches
  • Public safety volunteers in both Police and Fire
  • Public Works volunteers who help on the street
  • Emergency workers who help during storms
  • Youth volunteers from local schools
  • Volunteers who work in our parks and gardens

Your assistance is truly appreciated!

Holiday Events

Mark your calendars for San Anselmo’s holiday events:

  • Holiday Lighting Ceremony, Saturday, December 7, 2013, 5 to 6:30 p.m. Imagination Park.  Refreshments, entertainment and free pictures with Santa.
  • Downtown San Anselmo Merchants Holiday Open House, Friday, December 13, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy complimentary treats at your favorite shops while getting some of that shopping done.

 

  • Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 14, two seatings, 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.  Advanced sales:  $5 kids under 12, $7 over 12.  At the door, $7 kids under 12, $10 over 12.  Limited seating available the day of the event.  Held at the downtown fire station, 777 San Anselmo Avenue.

San Anselmo News, published weekly on Fridays, is available at the San Anselmo Town Hall, Library, on the Public Notice Bulletin Board. It is also available on the Town’s website, www.townofsananselmo.org, and by email subscription.
