Volunteer Appreciation Event
Seventy volunteers from the Town of San Anselmo were in attendance at an appreciation event this weekend on the lawn of the Robson Harrington house in San Anselmo. The event, hosted by the San Anselmo Volunteer Effort and the Town of San Anselmo, was an old fashioned ice cream social.
The volunteers being celebrated were from various volunteer groups including: Park, Median, and Garden Maintenance, Arts Commission, Board of Review, Capital Programs Monitoring Committee, Dog Park Steering Committee, Economic Development Committee, Financial Advisory Committee, Flood Committee, Graffiti Maintenance, Historical Society/Commission, Library Volunteers, San Anselmo representatives on Marin County Commissions, Open Space Committee, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Police Volunteers, Quality of Life Commission, Recreation Coach, Ross Valley Paramedic Authority, Tax Equity Board, Town Hall Volunteers, and Volunteer Firefighters.
During the event, Mayor Kay Coleman presented Judy Coy with the Volunteer of the Year Award. Judy has been chair of the Historical Commission for several terms and authored the Arcadia book on San Anselmo. Mayor Coleman also thanked all of the volunteers for all that they give to the Town.
