If you're like us, you wake up every day wondering what's going on in your neighborhood, in your town and around Marin County.

That's where the daily Patch email newsletter comes in. Every morning, as you're rising to start your day, we send you the latest local headlines, events, blogs, photos and community tidbits — right to your inbox, free of charge.

All you have to do is sign up.

Here's why we think you'll like it:

1) It's quick. We know you get a lot of email and we made it easy to read.

2) We're all about your community. With a quick scan, you'll find stories about your schools, the local police, new businesses and road information. Click a link and you're there.

3) Business info. We highlight local businesses every day you may not have known were your neighbors.

4) Events. See what's happening, or link to the calendar and add your events.

5) Need an umbrella? Yeah, we've even got a quick snapshot of the local weather.

Getting it is easy. Just scroll to the bottom of this page and click the link that says "Newsletters." Type your email address and click "Sign Up." That's it! Get ready to say good morning with Patch.

And if you're one of the thousands of readers already getting a Patch newsletter, thank you. Let us know if you have any problems or if we can make that daily "paper" better.

Thanks for the feedback, John. To my knowledge, we don't have a comments stream anywhere. DefinitelyRead More submit your comments here (it's the most efficient way to get your thoughts heard at the higher level): http://ow.ly/l4cyg

Is anybody else here getting multiple e-mail notifications of new comments by Jo Tog, and thenRead More clicking the link, only to find that they are actually old comments from Jo Tog, but with today's date on them? What's the deal? Did all his comments get flagged and deleted, and now he's re-posting them? Most curious.

Jo Trog, we live in a Corporatocracy, not a republic. We abdicated the Republic after 9/11, if notRead More before. Know the difference.

Banning the sale in a free market economy is too strong. I believe people should be able to chooseRead More so long as the product is labeled correctly, and even placed in a section with a big sign that says "GM Food products". Would I buy it if I pass the section at the grocery store: NO.
