Goodbye from Your Editor

Almost two years after launching San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch, I'm stepping down.

After covering San Anselmo and Fairfax for almost four years first at the Ross Valley Reporter and then launching this Patch site, it's time for me to move on.

Thursday is my last day as your San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch editor. After that, you all are on your own.

Kidding!

will be serving as guest editor for the next few weeks and the editors of the other Marin sites will be pitching in on San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch, which of course will continue to cover all the news and events and people in San Anselmo and Fairfax, while they look for a permanent replacement.

I'll still be in Marin, just doing other business and regional reporting work. So, if you see me, you can still yell "Patch," but I might not know who you're talking about. I might also start showing up at council meetings just to share my thoughts during public comment time.

It's been fun working in Ross Valley. I covered Novato Patch for one week during the holidays and it cemented my belief that San Anselmo and Fairfax are obviously better. Besides, I never knew this much about Smart Meters before covering Fairfax.

Thanks for everything. And, I hope to continue to read all about the great things happening here!

Congratulations on creating, launching and running such a great Patch site, Kelly. I'm lucky to have had the chance to work with you. Learned a lot! You will be missed. Have a blast in your new gig.

Good luck, Kelly! If a big-footed clown shows up at your door with a rapping telegram, I swear I didn't hire the guy. I hired his cousin the singing cowboy, but they have some weird competitive thing going on I didn't want to touch.

Will we still have contests?

Good luck! Glad you'll stay around Marin - I still want to have a beer with you next time I'm in town.

Thanks for all you've done, Kelly! I've really enjoyed seeing the evolution of the Patch under your guidance. Seems like it's transitioned from a community bulletin board to a vital news, local culture, and positive environment for political discussion and change. Great job! Best of luck in your new endeavor.

I went to the Smashburger in Novato & have to say that it was a disappointing experience. TheRead More burger was very mediocore & the onion rings were awful-very greasy. The staff were not friendly & operated with a "Bambi in the headlights" look about them. I do wish Smasburger luck in their locations. However, from my perspective there is a good deal of work that still needs to be done with the food, staff & service. At this time, "In & Out" Burger is a "hand's down favorite...thanks

Sheryl, I would put up our food and our service against any In & Out, anytime, any place. I'llRead More put my burger where my mouth is (literally) and offer you some free vouchers to be at our opening in Mill Valley. Send me an email (jasonwkent@gmail.com) with your mailing address and I'll get those vouchers to you ASAP.
