Holiday Events Guide

All the holiday events and places to be this month. Updated throughout December.

The holidays are fully upon us and it seems every day is another holiday event, caroling, or open house. Use our holiday guide to keep track of the events. We'll update this as more things are planned, so check back throughout December.

Don't forget, the - toys can be dropped off at any fire station. The . And food can be donated at any Marin Food Bank bin at most grocery stores and town offices.

Dec. 8: San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce Holiday Luncheon -- The annual holiday luncheon at San Domenico will focus on sponsoring a local family. This year, the Chamber is sponsoring resident .

Dec. 9-11: -- Shows throughout the weekend of the holiday classic.

Dec. 9-10: -- The 25th year of the holiday tour. Kicks off on Dec. 9 with a performance of 'A Christmas Memory.'

Dec. 10: Ross Valley Fire's Breakfast with Santa -- The annual pancake breakfast, featuring of course a visit from the jolly old guy will have two seatings at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. at the downtown San Anselmo fire station.

Dec. 10: -- Get lots of organic, hand-made, and recyclable presents from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dec. 10: -- Delicious goods will be sold at the boutique from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. And enjoy holiday lunch (11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) or afternoon tea (2 to 3:30 p.m.) while you're there.

Dec. 10: -- Artists holiday studios in San Rafael.

Dec. 11: -- Get your free horse and buggy ride between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. starting at either Beach House Style or For Paws.

Dec. 11: -- After enjoying your buggy ride head over to the Fairfax Volunteer's annual caroling and wreath-making party. Surprise visit from Santa at 2:30 p.m.!

Dec. 15: -- Annual Fairfax auction and dinner. A great way to check out all the offerings in town.

Completed events:

Dec. 2: -- Snack on treats, get freebies, and enjoy a festive atmosphere as participating downtown stores stay open late from 5 to 8 p.m.

Dec. 2: -- Free tableaux performances are at 7:30 and 8:15 p.m.

Dec. 2-3: -- The popular holiday service at the Seminary is open to all both evenings.

Dec. 3: -- Beginning right at 5 p.m., the annual ceremony features music, pictures with Santa, kids activities and the lighting of Town Hall.

Dec. 3: -- Annual holiday party open to all from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with crafts, Santa, and cookies.

Dec. 3: -- From noon to 5:30 p.m., visit the holiday arts and crafts fair, with dancers and visits from Santa.

Dec. 3-4: -- In its 23rd year, the ballet tradition performs both days at 1 and 5 p.m. at the Civic Center.
