Readers' Choice: Best Sporting Goods

Whether it's biking, surfing or running, who offers the best products and service in San Anselmo-Fairfax?

Can you believe that we have eight sporting goods shops in the San Anselmo-Fairfax area? Maybe that's a good clue as to why Marin County is the .

So who stands out? Now, we may be comparing apples to oranges in that we're mixing the bike shops with the running and surf shop. Plus, we threw in Marin Tack & Feed so as not to leave out the horse-riding crowd. But, maybe there are some multi-sport weekend warriors who could really make that evaluation.

Otherwise, feel free to just make a recommendation on who you think is the best for service and products.

Voting (rules attached at right) comes in two forms: you can vote in the poll below, but the poll is not scientific and is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. You also weigh in by rating the entry on their page in San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch Places directory (links below).

Comments, while always welcome, are no longer included when we tally the votes at the end of the week.

Here are the entries, but if we've left one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll try to add it right away.

I went to the Smashburger in Novato & have to say that it was a disappointing experience. TheRead More burger was very mediocore & the onion rings were awful-very greasy. The staff were not friendly & operated with a "Bambi in the headlights" look about them. I do wish Smasburger luck in their locations. However, from my perspective there is a good deal of work that still needs to be done with the food, staff & service. At this time, "In & Out" Burger is a "hand's down favorite...thanks

I'llRead More put my burger where my mouth is (literally) and offer you some free vouchers to be at our opening in Mill Valley. Send me an email (jasonwkent@gmail.com) with your mailing address and I'll get those vouchers to you ASAP.
