Readers say Siren Salon is the best for hair care

According to Patch readers, , located at 703 San Anselmo Avenue, is the best hair salon in San Anselmo and Fairfax.

Siren Salon was ahead for most of this week's Readers' Choice contest, beating the other seven contestants: 

Hairfax

As of Friday morning, Siren had earned 56 percent of the vote in our poll. The runner-up was Hairfax, with 16 percent of the vote. There were 53 votes in the poll.  

Readers apparently weren't all-too eager to review their favorite local hair salons, which is a bummer because reviews can significantly alter the outcome of the contest (yep, we don't simply use our unscientific poll).

 did, however, earn some additional brownie points from Patch for uploading several photos to the contest's . 

It should be added that Hairfax owner Karen (Kaz) Begley was especially patient with Patch, as the listing for Hairfax, which opened in December 2011, wasn't live until the end of the contest. But you can visit it now and still write reviews
