The San Anselmo Town Council will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at the San Anselmo Town Council Chambers, 525 San Anselmo Avenue. The council will begin interviewing applicants for the Financial Advisory Committee, Library Advisory Board, Tax Equity Board and the Parks & Recreation Commission at 6:15 p.m.
The meeting agenda (which is attached at the right) includes:
- A presentation by Ross Valley School District Business Manager Jim Cerreta on the anticipated effect of the November election on Ross Valley School District funding
- Review the proposed options for restricting chain stores and/or restaurants in town and give staff direction regarding next steps.
- Update report on progress of the Police Sharing Services Subcommittee regarding consolidation of police services with the Twin Cities Police Authority
This summer we asked you what you think should define a chain store in San Anselmo. Do you think the council should ban chain stores? If they do, what should count as a formula-retail business? Tell us below in comments!
Of the 50 readers who voted in our unscientific poll in July, 78 percent of the voters thought the town should have some kind of formula-retail business ban.
