Iron Springs Ahead in "Best Burger" Race, M&G's Close Behind

There's still time to case your vote for Best Burger in San Anselmo and Fairfax.

So I asked the readers of our San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch Facebook page for a little help in creating a list of the best burgers in town for the Readers' Choice poll this week. Not only did I get a list in less than an hour but everyone had a different nominee.

Now there are 10 candidates participating in our best burger debate. (If there's another candidate out there, let us know so we can add it as soon as possible.)

It's also up to you as the voter to make sure you do your research so you can make an informed decision. You can also support your choice, not only with a poll vote (one per reader, please) but by leaving a great review and a positive rating on its Patch Directory page. Just click the highlighted names below to see the directory page for each place in the contest.

The poll goes away after a few days, but the positive reviews and ratings stay forever — plus they count heavily in the final selection. So if you love one (or more) of our candidates, be sure to leave a rating and a review.

And if you own or manage one of the businesses in our contest, be sure to "Claim" your listing; this allows you to customize the information that appears on our site, and to thank your loyal customers for the five-star ratings they give you.

Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on the listings in our directory. Leave reviews for as many listing as you wish, but please vote only once per survey, per Patch. Complete contest rules are attached.

Here's your chance to tell share your recommendations. Vote in our poll and then visit the listing and give it a star rating. We will reveal our contest winner on Friday morning, so keep tabs on the Readers Choice contest all week long.

You forgot Hilda's in San Anselmo. Shame

Joanne, I just added Hilda's to the poll. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

What about Phyllis's Burgers - they are amazing, just had one the other night!
Jessica Mullins (Editor) May 31, 2012 at 02:54 PM
Jennifer, I had thought of Phyllis' too. But that business is technically in San Rafael, not San Anselmo. (It provided a great opportunity for me to study up on the town borders. It's so close to San Anselmo!)

Try the Hummingbird burger and you won't be disappointed. I won't have a burger anywhere else now!

Wow! Well that's certainly a testimonial. I'll have to try to Hummingbird burger. Page, have you considered adding a review to Hummingbird's page? http://sananselmofairfax.patch.com/listings/hummingbird-cafe-2

Didn't see this in time to chime in, but I definitely like Sleeping Lady's burgers the best in town. Incidentally, Peri's Bar serves cocktails. Perry's Deli serves burgers. :-)

Oh no! Jory, where were you earlier last week!? Thanks for pointing this mistake out. I'll make a mental note to try the burgers at The Sleeping Lady.
