Biketoberfest-Marin 2013
It's bikes, beer and fun when theMarin County
Bicycle Coalition and Access4Bikes presents Biketoberfest-Marin 2013, a festival, bike expo and brew fest in downtown Fairfax, Calif., the future home
of the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame.
This annual celebration of the bicycle is for cyclists of all ages and
features a brew fest of handcrafted beers from Northern California brewers; bike expo; vintage bike show; kids activities; and live music. Highlights
include a brew fest with 35 beers from 20 West Coast brewers; bike expo with 70
exhibitors; handmade bike show and bikes from the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame;
Bike Jubilee, a cargo bike relay racing and demos and a Car Lite
workshop; live music featuring Moonalice, Tom Finch Group, Tiny Television,
Dogtown Ramblers; and family activities including a Kids Bike Skills Zone, bike
art and bicycle carousel.
BEER TASTING: $25 to $30. The Biketoberfest beer tasting
features over 20 beers from 15 Northern California brewers. The fee for tastings
is $25 in advance and $30 day of the event. Fee includes a commemorative 8 oz
Biketoberfest glass. Proceeds benefit bicycle advocacy in Marin County.
RIDES: Ride to Biketoberfest from San Francisco. Meet up
at San Francisco's Ferry Building at 10:45 am for the scenic 25-mile bike ride to Fairfax for the Biketoberfest-Marin event.
