Career Transitions for Women

Learn how to find a career that is right for you and take your first step in this interactive hands on session.  With Joetta Tenison-Scott & Linda Lesem.

Joetta Tenison-Scott, MA Counseling, is a Career Counselor and Coach with extensive experience working with adults in career transitions, including starting, re-training and changing careers. She was a Career Counselor at San Francisco State University and Assistant Director of the Career Center at Mills College. For the past 20 years she has been in charge of the College of Marin's Re-entry Services, specializing in helping women and parents re-enter the job market. She also provides private career counseling at My Career Marin at the Marin Healing Collaborative.

Linda Lesem, M.S. (Counseling Psychology), is a trained therapist, certified career counselor and life coach. She specializes in career and life transitions for a wide variety of people who are all seeking positive change in their lives. She has a private practice in San Francisco and in Marin and created Moms in Transition a successful workshop series for mothers throughout the bay area that offers both support and techniques as moms take their next step after being home with their children for an extended period of time. Linda works with clients from college age and beyond, (often way beyond...), who are in transition but are unclear as to their next best steps. Whether they are looking to find work, or study or volunteer, Linda helps clients to discover their own natural preferences based on their personality, skills, interests and values and then combine this awareness to possibilities and ultimately a concrete plan of action.
