Dine Out to End Hunger

Ignite the holiday glow on Thursday, Nov. 21, when nine top restaurants will join Homeward Bound of Marin to offer “Dine Out to End Hunger,” an annual community fundraiser.

The partner restaurants, led by Insalata’s and Marinitas in San Anselmo, will donate 20 percent of dinner revenue on that date to Homeward Bound’s programs for homeless men, women and children in Marin.

Other restaurant partners include Il Fornaio in Corte Madera; Piatti Ristorante & Bar in Mill Valley; Rickey’s Restaurant in Novato; The Station House Café in Point Reyes Station; The Tavern at Lark Creek and Yankee Pier in Larkspur; and Vin Antico in San Rafael.

It’s easy! No coupon or advance registration is needed to participate – just make reservations directly with the restaurant, which has pledged to donate 20 percent of all food revenue that night. The annual event, sponsored by Bank of Marin, is part of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.

Homeward Bound of Marin is the county’s primary provider of shelter and services for homeless families and individuals, serving approximately 1,100 men, women and children per year. Services include counseling and job-training programs like the Fresh Starts Culinary Academy.
