Audubon Canyon Ranch (ACR), a North Bay leader in conservation science, habitat protection and restoration and nature education, will open its Martin Griffin Preserve for a limited number of days this holiday season for visitors to enjoy the 1,000-acre preserve and browse in its nature-inspired book and gift store.

During the winter months, there is still plenty for visitors to do at Martin Griffin Preserve. Hiking trails will be open to explore a variety of grasslands and coastal scrub, chaparral, streams, ponds and freshwater marsh habitats. The winter rains bring fascinating slide molds and mosses, banana slugs, spiders, brown pelicans and more out into the open.

Martin Griffin Preserve will be open Monday to Friday, now through December 7 from 10a.m. to 4p.m. and then Mondays and Wednesday from December 10 to December 19 from 10a.m. to 4p.m.

Is anybody else here getting multiple e-mail notifications of new comments by Jo Tog, and thenRead More clicking the link, only to find that they are actually old comments from Jo Tog, but with today's date on them? What's the deal? Did all his comments get flagged and deleted, and now he's re-posting them? Most curious.

Jo Trog, we live in a Corporatocracy, not a republic. We abdicated the Republic after 9/11, if notRead More before. Know the difference.

Banning the sale in a free market economy is too strong. I believe people should be able to chooseRead More so long as the product is labeled correctly, and even placed in a section with a big sign that says "GM Food products". Would I buy it if I pass the section at the grocery store: NO.
