On Thursday, March 7, San Francisco Theological Seminary will host the Austin College A Cappella Choir for an evening filled with music. The Seminary is excited to be hosting the choir’s first California performance before they continue their tour to Presbyterian churches along the southern coast of California.
With an expansive repertoire of music that includes neo-romantic British choral music, spirituals, and music from the Russian Orthodox church, the 50-voice ensemble will bring enjoyment to a variety of listeners. Two smaller ensembles, the Consort and the Quartette, will also perform jazz pieces throughout the concert. All three groups will be under the direction of Dr. Wayne Crannell, Associate Professor of Music at Austin College.
The concert is free and will be held in Stewart Chapel at 7:30pm. For more information, please contact Elizabeth McCord at emccord@sfts.edu.
