Getting Your Garden Ready For Spring

Early spring is a good time to be thinking about what you want to do in your garden as the weather warms and the rains begin to subside.  Learn how to prepare your soil, tune up your watering system and practices, and select ornamental and edible plants that are suited to your microclimate.

Speaker: Betsy McGee has been a Marin Master Gardener since 2008.  She served on the Sustainable Landscape Practices Committee and has been an active participant in the residential Bay-Friendly Garden Walks program for the past five years.  Betsy oversees community composting as one of the garden coordinators for the Larkspur Community Garden.  A few years ago she re-landscaped her own garden from a "lawn-centric" design to one that is water-wise and provides habitat for wildlife. Her garden was one of the featured Marin gardens on the Bay-Friendly Gardening Tour in 2012.
