San Francisco Bluegrass & Old-Time Festival: Lonesome Holler String Band

The Lonesome Holler String Band is genre master Evan Morgan on guitar, old-time tradition guru Steve Wharton on banjos and autoharp, virtuoso extraordinaire Chris Carney on fiddle and mandolin, and stalwart stand out on stand up bass Sue Walters--and they all sing real good too. Lonesome Holler is dedicated to preserving and playing the Southern rural music of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. They're a fine bunch of talented folks who have a great time playing together and resurrecting some timeless old music that stirs the spirit and feeds the soul. And you can't keep 'em down. They've played all over California and points East at festivals, winerys, clubs bars, parties--just about anywhere real people have a hankering for some real traditional old time music, played by some of the best around. Come out and have a listen. It'll do you good.
