HABITAT RESTORATION: OREGON WHITE OAKS AND CALIFORNIA FESTUCA GRASS

SATURDAY, JULY 19, 9 AM to
NOON

Volunteers will focus on removing Douglas-fir seedlings from this
strikingly beautiful habitat. This elegant grove of Oregon white oaks rambles up
the hillside overlooking Bon Tempe Lake. Thriving beneath are giant blue-green
tussocks of California fescue. Help us remove young Douglas-fir before they
overtop and shade out the oak woodland and bunch grass understory.

Meeting time and
location:
9 a.m. at the Bon Tempe Dam parking lot. See Google map for
directions.
