Marin County Housing Element Community Workshop

This is the second of the County's spring community workshops
to discuss long-term housing needs for the unincorporated areas of Marin.

The
County Community Development Agency invites residents to come learn about the housing element update of the Countywide Plan. This meeting will be at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin.

Why participate? The County must plan for 185 homes for the
2014-2023 housing element, down from 773 for the last cycle. Learn why planning for housing is so important to our future.

If this meeting isn’t convenient for you, consider workshops
at 2 p.m. May 3 at the Al Boro Community Center in San Rafael, 6 p.m. May 6 at
the Mill Valley Community Center or 10 a.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian
Church in Strawberry.

If you plan to attend the Marinwood event, you are strongly
encouraged to carpool due to limited parking availability. There are
only 80 parking spaces in the church parking lot and limited street
parking on the adjacent residential street. There is a small additional
parking lot with 23 spaces at the bottom of the hill at 18 Professional
Center Parkway (Nelson Staffing).  It is requested that carpools of
three people or more only use the church parking lot. If you have
questions or concerns, please contact County Planner Alisa Stevenson at astevenson@marincounty.org.

Stay informed about future housing in the unincorporated areas of the county by going to www.marincounty.org and hitting
"subscribe." There you can register to receive housing element
updates whenever they are posted by County planners. For more information, call
473-6697.
